Camilo Dorea


Short biography:

Camilo Dorea received the B.S. degree from the University of Brasilia, Brazil, in 1997, the M.S. degree from the University of Maryland at College Park, USA, in 1999, both in electrical engineering, and the Ph.D. degree in telecommunications from the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC), Barcelona, Spain, in 2007. From 2007 to 2008 he was with Thomson Corporate Research at Princeton, NJ, USA. In 2009 he joined the Department of Computer Science at the University of Brasilia where he is currently Associate Professor. During 2016-17 he was a Visiting Professor at the École de technologie supérieure in Montreal, Canada. His research interests include video segmentation and analysis, video coding, and multiview and 3D processing.
